School Registration
Welcome to Griswold Public Schools!
We're so excited you're considering registering your student at Griswold Public Schools. GPS serves students in grades Prekindergarten through 12 on a shared campus on Slater Avenue in Griswold, CT. Each grade level has unique registration requirements. This webpage will help guide you on the next steps for registration at Griswold Elementary School (grades PreK through 4), Griswold Middle School (grades 5-8), and Griswold High School (grades 9-12).
The Griswold Public Schools registration is centralized, with the exception of the Griswold Early Education Program (preschool). The Registration Office is located in the Griswold Middle School Main Office at 211 Slater Avenue, Griswold, CT 06351. Forms and documents noted below should be returned to the GPS Registration Office at GMS via email, fax ((860) 376-7631), or in person.
The following is a list of documents required for registration at Griswold Public Schools:
- 2 Forms of Proof of Residency - must have a current date
- Mortgage Statement or Lease/Rental Agreement
- Utility Bill or Homeowner's Insurance
- Copy of Student's Birth Certificate
- Copy of Parent/Guardian's ID or Driver's License
- Copy of Student's most recent report card from previous school
- Student’s Physical (within 1 year) & Immunization Record

Griswold Elementary School
To register a child (grades PreK through 4) at Griswold Elementary School (GES), please visit the GES registration webpage.
All GES documents and forms should be returned to the GPS Registration Office located within the Griswold Middle School Main Office. This can be completed by email, fax, or in person between 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Preschool Registration
Visit the Griswold Early Education Program webpage for links to the preschool application, screening information, and registration forms. Reminder: completion of the preschool application form does not guarantee placement.
Griswold Middle School
Griswold Middle School (GMS) posts their registration forms and annual forms on their registration webpage.
All GMS documents and forms should be returned to the GPS Registration Office located within the Griswold Middle School Main Office. This can be completed by email, fax, or in person between 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Griswold High School
GHS is a high school option for students residing in Griswold & Jewett City, as well as our partner towns of Lisbon, Preston, Voluntown, Sprague, Franklin, Norwich, and Canterbury!
To request more information about the GHS registration process, please select the appropriate hyperlink below to complete the GHS Interest form for incoming freshmen or transfer students. It is a simple Google Form that will automatically be submitted to our school counseling department. They will reach out to you with more information regarding our registration process:

*These forms only need to be completed by families of sending town students looking to attend GHS as a freshman or transfer student. Forms should be returned to the GPS Registration Office located within the Griswold Middle School Main office.
For families new to the town of Griswold, please contact GPS Technology Secretary Sarah Guillet via email for the GHS registration packet at any time during the course of a school year or over the summer.
