Here is some interesting information about the Griswold High School Class of 2025:

  • 71 members of the Class will in total receive over $186,000 in GHS & community-based scholarships

    • 15 students received GHS-exclusive Gerard and Wanda Brunet Foundation Scholarships totaling over $112,000. Each Tier I scholarship recipient was awarded $28,183; these students included Gabriella Rosado (Bucknell University, Neuroscience) and Kierra Neilson (Bentley University, Finance). Tier II scholarship recipients, Brooke Valentine (Regis College, Dental Hygiene) and Arianna Pedraza (UConn, Speech & Language Pathology) will receive $16,910. Tier III recipients, awarded departmentally, were announced at the Senior Scholarship Night ceremony on May 28, 2025.  

  • 13 students in the Class of 2025 were enrolled in the first cohort of the Drone Technologies course and completed the FAA’s TRUST exam, The Recreational UAS Safety Test.

  • 68% of students have committed to continuing their education 

    • 43% have committed to attending four-year colleges and universities

    • 25% have committed to attending community college

    • 10 students have signed letters of intent to participate in athletics in college (learn more here)

  • 26% of students will be entering the workforce or seeking apprenticeships

  • 6% of students (8) are enlisting in the US Military 

    • Four (4) in the United States Marine Corps

    • Two (2) in the United States Army, one of whom will be attending Norwich University

    • One (1) in the National Guard

    • One (1) in the United States Navy

  • About 130 AP Exams were taken by the Class of 2025

  • The Class of 2025 has completed over 6,797 hours of community service in their four years of high school (including 2,300 hours this school year alone)

  • 12 graduating members of the GHS Chamber Choir performed the National Anthem at graduation
