Griswold Forward 2.0
Griswold Public Schools has a mission, a vision, and goals that guide our work with students at Griswold Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, as well as the Griswold Soule Street Academy, the Griswold Early Education Program, and the Wolverines Forward Before & After School Program.
In 2026, Superintendent McKenna introduced "Griswold Forward 2.0" -- the bold, exciting next chapter in our commitment to elevating every student’s growth and experience. This strategic roadmap, forged from the voices and collective experiences of our entire community, presents an ambitious five-year plan dedicated to educating for excellence. NOTE: We will continuously update this webpage with more information as the strategic road map unfolds.
At Griswold Public Schools, every student belongs and every student matters. We are empowering them to blaze new trails in their studies, their interests, and their creative endeavors, making our world a better place. Griswold Forward 2.0 is our future as Wolverines, and it moves our community forward together.

Our Mission
The Mission of Griswold Public Schools is to educate for excellence by ensuring our students are connected, by cultivating individual talents, and by fostering a future-driven mindset.
Our Vision
The Vision is that Graduates of Griswold Public Schools journey into the future as engaged citizens, effective communicators, critical thinkers, and resilient problem solvers.

Our Goals
Our work is anchored by four crucial goals that drive improvement across the district:
- Elevating student success and growth to navigate the future.
- Centering student interests to foster well-being and individual pursuits.
- Teaching that strengthens engagement and connections for every student.
- Optimizing resources and partnering with the Griswold community for student success.
These four goals expand the original Griswold Forward goals of Social and Emotional Learning, Blended and Personalized Learning, and Research-Based Instruction, to focus on innovation in academics, social and emotional learning, teaching and learning, and resources, infrastructure, and community.
With each goal, we aim to support connected beliefs:
- I can grow and achieve.
- I matter and belong.
- I engage and connect.
- I value my community.
These four interconnected goals sharpen our focus on delivering excellence in an ever-changing world. Underpinning each goal are supporting steps to strengthen our foundational work, leverage best practices, and seize opportunities to create and innovate.
