Sean P. McKenna

An educator in Connecticut with over 25 years of experience, Sean McKenna joined Griswold Public Schools in 2016. Deeply committed to student success, Mr. McKenna has partnered with the Griswold community to move Griswold Public Schools forward by fostering growth and progress. Mr. McKenna has played a pivotal role in transforming Griswold Public Schools by spearheading comprehensive program development, implementing substantial technology enhancements, overseeing significant facility upgrades, and broadening community partnerships, which includes integrating more tuition partner towns. Before coming to Griswold, Mr. McKenna served as Interim Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Assistant Principal in Groton Public Schools. Mr. McKenna was previously a Department Chair and Teacher of English in Waterford Public Schools. Sean McKenna and his wife Amy live in Mystic, Connecticut, with their three children, Nathan, Catherine, and Mary.
