Griswold Public Schools (GPS) serves approximately 1,800 students in grades PreK–12 from Griswold, Jewett City, and neighboring communities. With a commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and community, GPS offers a comprehensive and inclusive education that prepares students for the future.

Our Unique Campus
Griswold Elementary, Middle, and High Schools are located together on a scenic 70-acre riverside campus. All three buildings face a central quad, promoting:

Location & Accessibility
Griswold Public Schools is conveniently located at the intersection of Routes 164 and 138, just a quarter-mile from I-395 — easily accessible from many eastern Connecticut communities.
The campus is not only an outstanding educational setting, but it is also a valuable asset for community use. The Griswold Park & Recreation and Family & Youth Services department frequently utilizes Griswold Public Schools for programming. With grounds along the Quinebaug River, there are ample opportunities for athletics, recreation, and nature studies for students Pre-K through 12 on the campus trails.
