Connecticut Department of Developmental Services' Children’s Services Division (CSD) information:

CSD is an in-home support program for individuals from 8 years of age through the age of 20. Individuals must be eligible for DDS services and eligibility must be made prior to the age of 18. Individuals must demonstrate a need that cannot being supported through other community, state, and/or federal programs.

Services include Behavior Supports, Individualized Home Supports (IHS) and Respite. CSD services are designed to teach families how to interact more effectively with their child during daily routines and activities. The goal is to increase the capacity within the family unit, through skill building, to effectively manage and support their child’s most challenging behaviors while creating and reinforcing positive behaviors.
